Apparently, crop tops are here to stay. Amir Taghi favored sexy crop tops that incorporated deep V-necks. Mara Hoffman’s collection featured wide-leg pants, in all lengths (culottes and full). Mara Hoffman is also the queen of maxi dresses and sent a plethora of vibrant maxi dresses down the runway. Alon Livne stayed true to his warrior woman style, presenting a fierce collection full of sparkles, cut-outs and 3D-enhancements.

Faraway locales were often the inspiration for many designers’ collections. Malan Breton presented his “Journey to Taiwan” Spring Collection, complete with dancers and musical performers. Malan used sateen-finish fabrics for the majority of his collection – and what a collection it was. Breton showed no fewer than 60 looks! He may win the award for the most extensive runway presentation during fashion week.

As fashion week continues, we’re seeing prints, prints and more prints. Herve Leger by Max Azria featured bold prints and embellished fabrics in their Spring 2015 collection. Tropical prints are popular for Spring 2015 as evidenced on Day 2 at Nicole Miller who took us to Rio De Janeiro while Mara Hoffman took us to the beach with palm tree prints and prints that resembled the sun rising over the ocean.
COLOR
White seems to be emerging as the color of the season but pastels and pops of bright color liven up many designers’ collection. Alon Livne showed beautifully executed, pleated Grecian gowns that featured cutouts and body-flattering silhouettes.

Mara Hoffman takes the baseball hat to a new and feminine level by adding a tie-back scarf for the cap closure. Tres chic! FashionMingle.net’s Heather and Jeanine checked out Anya Caliendo’s nostalgic yet modern hat collection at the St. Regis Hotel. Her sculptural, artistic, colorful and creative collection had us longing for the days when a woman didn’t leave the house without wearing a hat.
