I, like I don’t know how many other people saw the Mermaid Pillow video on the internet when it first went viral and I, like I don’t know how many other people, wanted one. You know what a Mermaid Pillow is, right? It’s a pillow made of reversible sequins that changes color when you brush your hand along it. That’s a poor explanation, I admit. You kind of have to see it to understand it but it’s pretty fabulous, especially to my eyes, but I am part magpie. If it’s shiny, I like it!
My internet search for a Mermaid Pillow came up short. They were sold out everywhere. When I did find one, it was several hundred dollars. I wanted a Mermaid Pillow but I wasn’t about to drop a few hundred bucks on one. The media caught on to Mermaid Pillow frenzy and the pillow was highlighted on the news, the internet, various fashion and home decor websites – and it remained sold out on every site I visited.
But, several weeks later, I found exactly what I wanted on Etsy.com and at a great price!
I ordered my Mermaid Pillow in gold and silver, as you can see, and I love it. It adds just the right amount of sparkle to my room, is a crazy conversation piece and friends who visit love to play with it.
I tried to upload a video of my Mermaid Pillow in action but no go. My computer and iPhone are conspiring against my doing that. I hope you can get a good idea of how cool the pillow is just from photos.
