I came home last week to a lovely surprise – a gift box chock full of product from Murad, Inc.
I’ve been a fan of Murad products for years and, while I have my favorites – I’m talking about you, Detoxifying White Clay Body Cleanser and AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser, to name but two – I’m happy to share information about the brand with you.
Couple of disclaimers: I have not given the products a full trial. I wanted to write this quickly and share the news with you. Also, as I’ve already stated, I received these products for free but must assure you that receiving complimentary product does not affect my opinion in any way.
So let’s break down the gift box one product at a time, shall we?
First up, Murad Hydro Dynamic® Quenching Essence – This is a new product from Murad. It’s designed to be used to prep and hydrate the skin for makeup application or to be worn alone. According to Murad, Hydro Dynamic Quenching Essence is “like a drink of water for your skin.” The key ingredient, Mexican Blue Agave Leaf Extract, is said to help skin attract and retain water while Glycolic Acid exfoliates to remove dead skin cells. Other natural ingredients including watermelon, apple and lentil are said to help reduce dryness and smooth rough patches. Murad Hydro Dynamic Ultimate Moisturizer – This is an update of a Murad favorite and, according to company literature, delivers 24-hour hydration to restore skin’s suppleness. Use it in combination with Hydro Dynamic Quenching Essence for long-lasting moisture and a dewy glow. Key ingredients include Shea Butter, Avocado, Sunflower and Olive Fruit Oils. Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield SPF 30 – In Murad-sponsored studies, this multi-functional product resulted in 71% of users reporting seeing fewer fine lines and wrinkles. Murad Hydrating Toner – I am a toner junkie, using it twice a day after cleansing, and Murad Hydrating Toner is one of my faves. I especially love this alcohol-free toner in the winter when my skin is exposed to cold, chapping outdoor air and dry, moisture-robbing indoor air. I received this in the goodie bag but it’s already a part of my regular beauty arsenal. If you’ve never used a toner before, I recommend it highly. Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion for Lips – I love lip products – moisturizers, plumpers – as much as I love toners. I own a bazillion of them but keep coming back to Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion. It instantly smooths my chapped lips and imparts a subtle sheen, perfect alone but also great under lipstick. Key ingredients include Mustard Sprout, Hyaluronic Acid and Shea Butter to slightly plump and moisturize. And, it lasts, unlike some lip treatments that disappear in a matter of minutes. Love! Murad Professional Eye Lift Firming Treatment – I am not a huge fan of eye cream because it tends to get in my eyes. I think it’s just me; I have friends who swear by the stuff. But, I can’t wait to use this product. Murad Professional Eye Lift Firming Treatment has received rave review from users who, in Murad-sponsored trials, say it helped reduce fine lines and wrinkles within a week! This is the first product in the new professional line and, as I said, it’s receiving great reviews. It comes with disposable eye pads that you lightly press to the eye area after applying two to three pumps of the treatment to the under eye area. Relax for 10 to 15 minutes, remove the pads and pat in the remaining product. Use it two to three times a week and, according to those wonderful reviews, find firmer, clearer under eye skin.
