You can’t escape it – and why would you want to? Pumpkin spice is yummy but, unfortunately for my thighs at least, many of the delicious concoctions created with it pack a huge caloric punch. For example, a Grande (16 oz) Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte contains 380 calories – 140 of those are from fat, 14 grams of fat and 50 grams of sugar. Yowza and, um, no thank you.
So, what’s a Pumpkin Spice lover to do? Try this Pumpkin Spice Smoothie recipe.
Pumpkin Spice Smoothie
10 ounces Almond Milk
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice
1/4 tsp vanilla,
Ice cubes
Crumbled graham crackers
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Add as much ice as you need to reach a creamy consistency. Top with crumbled graham crackers. Enjoy!
