I don’t often write about shower heads. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever done so but check out this beautiful Raindrops™ shower head and you’ll get why I wanted to share it with you. The company says that it does beautiful things for our skin and hair by removing harmful mineral deposits found in water. The end result? Shinier hair and dewier skin. Essentially, the Raindrops™ shower head purifies your water so that it’s like showering in the rain. And it looks good doing it. Winning!
I had my bathroom redone a few years ago and shopping for a shower head was a little bit of torture. There were so many choices, so many styles, so many finishes. And, of course, I focused on the wrong thing. I was more interested in the shower head finish than I was in the shower head. It’s a shower head. It allows water to come in from the pipes in my bathroom and rain down on my head. What more did I want it to do? Of course, I’d seen shower heads that changed color, that created beautiful water patterns and that turned your shower into a steam shower. Those are cool but were either too pricey for my budget or something I didn’t really need. I wish I’d known about the Raindrops™ shower head when I redid my bathroom. But wait a second. Why am I fretting? I could hook this baby up to my existing pipes and let ‘er rip as soon as I get it home.
Here’s why I like it … We are all health conscious today and care not only about what we put in our bodies but what we put on them too. So how does the sound of showering under undesirable mineral deposits sound to you? Yeah, to me too. Some experts say that the mineral deposits in our shower water can alter the color of our hair, dry out our skin and, as we’ve all probably experienced, cause nasty rust stains on our shower floors. We don’t need this.
This is where Raindrops™ comes in. It purifies the water in a 6-step filtration process that is explained below. Inside each cartridge, Raindrops™ removes harmful components leaving you with nothing but fresh hair and skin. Nice!
For this next part, I’m going to quote from the company’s press release so as to make sure I get it right. Here goes …
“Here’s how the Raindrops™ system works:
Sediment Treatment: This process removes big particles, iron and rust from steel piping which is probably the main reason why hair gets brassy.
Granular Activated Carbon Treatment: This process removes chlorine, odor and increases the pH balance using coconut shells.
Kenetic Degradation Fluxion (KDF) Treatment: This process restrains bacteria and removes heavy metals such as lead, mercury, magnesium, copper and iron. It is also approved by the national sanitation foundation (NSF). – (Ed. Note: And by Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown. Back to the Future reference, anyone? Remember the flux capacitor? That was all I could think of as I was editing this part.)
Magnet Treatment: This process makes water particles smaller, giving you softer water which equals smooth skin and shiny hair.
Activated Ceramic Ball Treatment: This process activates water particles causing them to be absorbed into the skin for more moisture.
Calcium Sulfite Treatment: This process removes chlorine. We want this as far away from your hair and skin as possible.”
Sound good? It does to me too.
Raindrops™ is sold online at http://www.raindrops901.com for $120.
The replenishment filter is available for $53.00 and lasts for 3-6 months depending upon the number of people using the shower head.
I bet it’s going to look gorgeous in my bathroom – and I look forward to shinier hair and softer skin too.
