So, yeah, it’s February – and the weather is frightful. Ice blankets my driveway and street and there’s no way I can get out to do all the things I need to do to get my house and myself ready for my daughter’s bridal shower. (My daughter is getting married!) I’ll be hosting overnight guests and I want to launder comforters and large, snuggly blankets and throws to keep my guests warm and cozy as February rages outside. But there’s no way I will even attempt to pilot my car on my skating rink of a driveway to get to the dry cleaners. I’m frantic, stressed out beyond belief. There’s so much to do for the shower, let alone getting my house ready for overnight guests, and Mother Nature is simply not cooperating. But, wait a minute, I have Dryel At-Home Cleaner. I use it to clean and refresh my clothing and it works great for that. Why not use it on my comforters, blankets and even on my curtains?

Dryel
Goldie doesn’t care that we are hosting overnight guests. So, yes, the throw, duvet and even the pillows were treated to Dryel.

Dryel At-Home Cleaner couldn’t be easier to use. All I do is place the items I want to launder into Dryel’s new, roomy, zippered laundry bag; add the ULTRAcleaning™ cloth and throw the bag into the dryer. (The dryer! The washing machine is not involved in the cleaning process at all.) Dryel At-Home Cleaner takes 15 minutes to refresh  items; 30 minutes for a deeper clean – and I’m done! No risking my neck driving on sheets of ice to get to and from the dry cleaner; no stuffing the items I need to clean into the washing machine and hoping it will be kind to them – and what a time and money saver Dryel is too! Do you know how much it costs to dry clean three comforters, two duvet covers, three wool blankets, six curtain panels, several throws and four pillows? (Yup! I Dryel-ed the pillows too! Pillows need cleaning and throwing them in the washer is akin to throwing them in the trash.) By my calculation, I’m looking at around $500.00. Dryel At-Home Cleaner costs $6.99 for the starter kit which cleans up to 10 items. Refill kits which clean up to 30 items are $8.99 each. Go me!  And while my Dryel is taking care of my bed linens, I can take care of other things that need doing, like ordering the cake and party favors for my daughter’s shower. Oh, I am brilliant! This is such a great idea!

Dryel
My daughter, Victoria, and I snuggled under my beloved hand-made quilt. And, yes, Dryel took good care of it.

So why stop there? Now that my linens are guest-ready, I’m going to Dryel the gorgeous quilt that a friend made me and that graces my family room sofa. It’s everyone’s favorite to snuggle under while watching movies and, I must admit, is beloved by my cats that like to sit on it too. But I’m not going to stop there. I’m going to Dryel the tablecloth I plan to use for the dinner I’m hosting prior to the shower and the decorative throws on my daughters’ beds. I am sure there are more things I can Dryel. I just purchased a fabulous high-end designer dress from an upscale consignment shop in New York City. I was planning on bringing it to the dry cleaners before I wore it but the weather had other ideas. I think it’s going to be another case of Dryel to the rescue. Why not? Dryel At-Home Cleaner worked so well on my expensive sweaters, duvet covers and curtains, I trust it to take gentle care of my designer duds too.

As those of you who regularly read EverBeautiful.com know, I am honored to have been chosen as a Dryel Blog Ambassador. Oh, and with Valentine’s Day just a few days away, use Dryel on your delicate lingerie. I hate hand washing, preferring to let my washer and dryer do the deed. And, with Dryel, my lingerie is in good hands, er, spin cycles. You know what I mean. Dryel is genius. Try it. And let me know how you use it by posting in the Comments below. Follow Dryel on Facebook and on Twitter. (I’d like to thank one of my commenters on my Facebook page for giving me the idea of using Dryel on my heavy comforters and throws.)

6 Comments on Dryel Saves the Day – and the Bridal Shower!

  1. Great article. So sweet and personal. Thank you for sharing these major events in your life. (And thanks to Dryel for saving the day. I will be adding adding Dryel to my next shopping list.)

  2. It was hairy, believe me. I learned a couple of things though: Don’t have bridal shower in February and count on Dryel to clean not only your non-washable clothing but also your bed linens, pillows and delicate tablecloths. – Melody

  3. Wow! I had no idea you did all of this in preparation of the shower! Thank you for all the hard work and the absolutely magical weekend, Mom! I just added Dryel to my registry! 😀

  4. Aw, lovey, you are welcome. Yup, your bedding had been Dryel-ed. The cats had decided to make it their own and I didn’t have time to get to the dry cleaner. Good call on adding Dryel to your registry. Love you! xo
