THE GOOD LUCK GIRLS OF SHIPWRECK LANE
Book clubs have long been a social staple in our culture. Besides being a forum for literary fans, book clubs serve as a relaxing way to unwind. I’ve belonged to book clubs and have enjoyed them – but, sometimes it’s been difficult to find the time to read the book, let alone make it to the actual book club meeting. (And then, if it’s been at my house, I feel compelled to clean and to set out an inviting spread of snacks and beverages for the members. Doesn’t sound like much, but with a crazy schedule, it can be stressful.) But, happy news, book lovers, Spa Week Daily, the official lifestyle blog of SpaWeek.com, has created its very own book club—a unique, online community for book lovers to interact at their leisure, from the comfort of their own homes.
Spa Week Daily’s Book Club will feature a new book for members to read on a monthly basis. Each selection will come with the tools to help members get the most out of their reading experience including exclusive online forums and live chats with each featured author via Spa Week’s Facebook page. Spa Week Daily’s Book Club will also be a go-to source to find reviews on the most buzzed about novels, author spotlights and more.
Kicking off Spa Week Daily’s Book Club this month is first time novelist Kelly Harms with her newly debuted novel, The Good Luck Girls of Shipwreck Lane. Readers may participate in ongoing forum discussions with other book club members, and will also have the opportunity to engage with Kelly herself during a live Facebook chat on September 11th.
Love this idea! And, I’ll be reading and joining in. If you’d like to join too, or learn more, visit: http://www.spaweekblog.com/book-club/
