Donna Karan’s loving homage to NYC – it is DKNY, after all – was complete with leather trim, slouchy easy-fit pants, oversized zip jackets, menswear influences, flowing skirts slit up to there and taxicab yellow pieces, including a jacket that the designer herself wore when she took her bows. The smart collection included chambray pieces – beautifully paired with white – and signature tees that, in my opinion, mixed less successfully with the easy yet still sophisticated collection.
