It’s hot. It’s sticky. Sweltering temperatures are breaking records across the country and, while the air is thick with moisture, my skin is losing it to the sun, chlorinated pools, air conditioning and the showers I take daily to wash off the day.
Remember Lubriderm, the no-frills moisturizer that you see in drugstores and supermarkets? Bet you haven’t given it much thought recently. Lubriderm is one of those products that, while not sexy or glamorous, does what it purports to do. It moisturizes and protects skin, leaving it soft without feeling greasy. I have a closet full of skin care lotions – and right next to the imported, high-end, uber-expensive creams in my closet, is my reasonably-priced, rather plain but effective Lubriderm. I’ve been using it for years having first heard about it in college when it was recommended to a friend by his dermatologist to help his chronically dry skin.
Well, Lubriderm has come a long way, baby. There’s now a wide range of products designed to meet your skin’s needs. From the tried and true Daily Moisture (with its own range of products) to a men’s line to Advanced Therapy for extra-dry skin to Intense Skin Repair to the new Soothing Relief Daily Lotion that provides immediate relief to itchy skin, there’s a Lubriderm for you.
I wouldn’t think of leaving the house without slathering on my Lubriderm Daily Moisture with SPF 15, ($6.99 for 16 fl. oz. Can’t beat that!) It’s part of my daily routine and it gives me the added moisture and sun protection my skin needs. And it’s unscented – so it doesn’t compete with my light summer fragrance.
Visit their website at http://www.lubriderm.com for more information. Rediscover Lubriderm. I’m sure there’s a place for it on your shelf next to your fancy, scented body lotions.
Find Lubriderm at amazon.com, drugstores and supermarkets nationwide.
interesting, haven’t used in years- a Jergen’s gal myself might give it another try. Oh & finally a peek at the beauty closet- recognize the pink tote 🙂 xoxo
Lol! Yes, the famous beauty closet. And, this is but one of five large shelves. And a recently purged one at that. More than half of my stuff is in a large bin on the floor of my closet. But I use the Lubriderm every day. Yup – the pink tote. Haven’t broken into that one yet. Waiting to use up the product that’s in my shower. I’ll upload a picture of my shower shelf on another post. It’s also loaded with product, as you might imagine. But I’m neat and orderly, even despite the massive amounts of product. xo! Mel (Stay cool.)
We both associate Lubriderm with the same friend; my college roomate of 4 years, best man at our wedding and still good friend! And a doctor . L.A.P. – still recommending Lubriderm?
Yes! I’ve never looked at a bottle of Lubriderm without thinking of him. Funny, the things we associate.
