I’m excited about this new addition to EverBeautiful.com. It’s the Question of the Week where I’ll answer your fashion and beauty questions and is born out of the fact that when people find out that I’m a fashion and beauty writer/editor, many ask for advice. I’m always happy to help when I can and, as regular readers of EverBeautiful.com know, fashion and beauty trends come and go. Red lips, a well-defined brow, pencil skirts and peep-toe shoes may be on trend one season and out the next – but personal style – confidence in knowing who you are and projecting that to the world, never goes out of style.

I’m often asked how one develops one’s own style. I ponder that question a lot, in fact. So many times, people have told me that they have no personal style – they don’t know which shoe goes best with what dress or how to apply blush or whatever the case may be. To me, those are merely details that can be learned from reading websites like EverBeautiful.com, from fashion magazines or visiting the cosmetics counter. My definition of style is having the ability to throw on any outfit – and make it work, regardless of whether or not it’s on trend. Working it – feeling and radiating confidence is ever-stylish, always in vogue and EverBeautiful.

So now – bring on the fashion and beauty questions.  Post them as a comment below; write them on EverBeautiful’s Facebook wall, tweet them to @evrbeautiful or send me an email: Melody@melodylesser.com. (And don’t worry. You will remain anonymous. I’ll use first names and your city, state or country as identification and I will not publish your email address. I recognize that posting to a site or FB page can be intimidating – but give it a go. I’m easy to talk to and am always supportive.)

Can’t wait to hear from you … xo, Melody

  1. Aww, thank you Anne! I love that pic of me. My brother, Michael, took it. The juxtaposition of the two photos – then and now – on EverBeautiful’s homepage is pretty ironic. But I let it stand. Thanks for your kind words.
