Gonna be in NYC tomorrow night and a fan of The Real Housewives of New York City? Head to Lord & Taylor, between 6 and 8 pm for the launch of Jill Zarin‘s Skweez Couture line of shapewear – and meet the designer herself, who’ll be on hand to help with fittings and to sign autographs.
The Real Housewife of New York City, who will not be back for the next season of the show – conflicting opinions abound as to exactly what went down between Zarin and Bravo TV – has become a household name. Whether fans of the show love her or hate her, they want to know about her. She is the co-author of the bestselling book, Secrets of a Jewish Mother, which she wrote with her sister, Lisa Wexler, award-winning host of the daily radio program The Lisa Wexler Show; and her mother, Gloria Kamen. (I had the pleasure of sitting next to Lisa Wexler at a luncheon in Los Angeles when she won a Gracie Award for her work on her radio show. My daughter, Victoria Riess, was a Gracie winner that year and the event was spectacular. Lisa was lovely, gracious, easy to talk to and I, frankly, adored her. You can hear her show live online from 4 – 6 PM by clicking here.
I met Jill last year at a party to celebrate the launch of QVC‘s ad campaign in Vogue Magazine. (I was chosen to appear in one of the Vogue ads with designer Dennis Basso, QVC host Lisa Robertson, designer Shoshanna Gruss, financial expert Suze Orman, cosmetics maven Josie Maran, and Mary Martha Douglas, Christine Kennedy and Rocio Rivera, the last three of whom were also chosen to be in the QVC/Vogue ad.) Jill is tiny in person and really beautiful. She promised to invite me to a launch party for Skweez Couture and had her manager Darren Bettencourt take my contact info. I never heard from him, sigh, and, for a couple of days, was a little miffed knowing that readers of EverBeautiful.com would want the inside deets on the line. But now you can see – and buy – it for yourself.
If you go, send my regards to Jill!

Hi Melody,
Thank you so much for promoting my launch. I apologize for Darren not contacting you about the launch. I know it wasn’t intentional. I hope, if you are in the NYC area, you will come. I have a few more coming up so let me know where you live and I promise to let you know if we come to your area. XOXO Jill
Hi Jill – Thanks so much for your comment. Wishing you every success tomorrow evening when you debut Skweez Couture at Lord & Taylor.
I live in NYC and PA (and, fyi, grew up in Hewlett) – but will be unable to attend tomorrow’s event. Wish I could be there.
Please let me know when and where you’ll be next so that I can share the info with my readers. Again, thanks for visiting EverBeautiful.com. I hope you’ll become a regular reader.
All the best, Melody
I am so excited that Jill is going to be at Lord and Taylor tonight. I’m heading there straight from work. Thanks for letting me know about this. Jill, I love Skweez! And I loved watching the Real Housewives when you were on it. You made the show fun. I’ll miss you, if I even watch the show now.
Rebekah – Have fun tonight. Buy some great Skweez pieces and send my regards to Jill. I bet you are not alone in your opinion of the show. Many will miss Jill. (Personally, I hope she lands another show. I agree that she was fun to watch. And I love Ginger too.) Have fun!
I have been such a fan of Jill on the NY housewife show. Now, I can wear her Skweez and feel like a part of the slim and beautiful world. Thanks for this awareness.
Gail – You and me both! I’ve seen some of the pieces – and they are fabulous. Good for Jill. She’s a smart businesswoman and I wish her success in all of her endeavors. (Now, how do I get myself on a reality show? Andy Cohen? It’s me you’re looking for, babe.)
