The April 2011 issue of Vogue Magazine hit newsstands yesterday. Billed as the Tenth Annual Shape Issue, it features a fab Annie Leibovitz cover photo of Rihanna who rocks her curves in a floral Chanel dress. And (burying the lede), I’m in it too! In January, I was chosen by Vogue Magazine and QVC to be in a QVC ad as part of the shopping channel’s National Makeover Day. The results are in – and can be found in a pullout ad for QVC in the middle of the April issue of Vogue. Look for me standing next to Dennis Basso, who designed the clothing worn by me and three fabulous and beautiful makeover contestants. Our jewelry was designed by Shoshanna Gruss. Look for her standing next to Dennis. Supermodel and cosmetics genius Josie Maran, who has her own eponymous line of eco- and skin-friendly cosmetics, designed our makeup looks and Suze Orman provided a financial makeover. And you can’t miss Lisa Robertson, QVC host extraordinaire, who looks – and is – beautiful.
Read about how I was chosen, my makeover, the fashion shoot and who I saw and rubbed elbows with at the QVC/Vogue party that celebrated the collaboration.
And watch for me on a live broadcast of QVC (yikes!) on April 22nd, wearing Dennis Basso’s new line of ready-to-wear.
