Perfectly channeling the elegance of Halston of the 1970s, Marios Schwab, in his third collection for the label, presented dresses and gowns that would do Lauren Hutton proud. Slinky columns of jersey, often slashed at the waist, front or back, showed off the lines of the models’ bodies; a pleated georgette halter dress evoked the most beautiful of Greek goddesses and an olive chiffon one shoulder gown revealed a peek a boo crystal embroidered bra that would thrill even the most modern disco queen. The collection wasn’t all evening looks. Schwab’s daytime looks were beautifully represented here as well and also successfully captured the essence of the Halston woman. Who wouldn’t want to be her?
