I love jewelry. I have a particular weakness for huge, splashy rings. It’s my opinion that the bigger the gemstone, the better. But my size four ring finger has me either wearing rings on my index finger or running to the jeweler to have rings resized which becomes expensive and removes the option of allowing me to wear the rings on different fingers. Sure, I’ve wrapped adhesive tape around the shanks of many of my rings, but that becomes bulky and uncomfortable. Invariably, the tape gets wet, starts to unravel and, well, it’s just a mess.
So, I was delighted to learn about a new product that allows rings to be resized quickly. Ring Guard Solution is a clear gel solution that’s waterproof and practically invisible (unlike bulky adhesive tape.) It comes in a ready to use tube and all you do is squeeze a small amount onto the inner side of the ring and allow it to dry. It dries to a soft, clear gel that slides over your finger and knuckles easily for a secure and comfortable fit. The literature says you can comfortably apply the gel to a size nine ring to change it into a size six. And it lasts for months – or until you remove it. Woo Hoo for me!
A single tube of Ring Guard Solution contains enough to treat several dozen rings. It dries within three hours and will withstand dishwashing, hot water, bathing, showering, swimming and more.
Ring Guard Solution is also useful when applied to the pads of clip-on earrings, as a replacement for adhesive pads, to ease the pinching of tight clips. (I will definitely try this too!)
Ring Guard Solution, created by Chicago inventor Leonardo Moody, sells for $7.95 plus shipping. For more information or to purchase, visit http://www.luc-co.com.
