It’s springtime in France – at least on the runways of Paris where pretty ruled at Lanvin as Alber Elbaz sent ponytailed models down the catwalk in silhouettes that were pleated, wrapped and oh so body conscious. The cold shoulder trend continues and black, beige, gray and shades of blue ruled although there was the injection of a few bright hues into the neutral mix. Heavenly loose, horizontal pleats – perhaps better described as wrinkles – showed up on figure flattering dresses that I would love to get my hands on. And the shoes, oh!
The star-studded audience included Lenny Kravitz, Janet Jackson and, of course, Anna Wintour.
