I love telling you about new products that work as promised and, when they’re as cute as these Pedi Princess flip flops, it’s a double pleasure.
Pedi Princess, designed by Laura Slipak, are blinged out flip flops with built-in toe separators that make giving yourself or having a pedicure easier – and they are wearable outside of your bedroom and the salon.
I received an email about Pedi Princess and, I admit it, I had to have a pair. And, happily, the company sent me one to test drive for readers of EverBeautiful.com.
I just returned home from my pedicure appointment and rocked my Pedi Princess flip flops from my house to my pedicure and while running a few quick errands. Besides being obviously adorable – several people stopped to ask where they could get a pair – they are comfy. Throwing aside TMI, my feet do what they’re supposed to do, but, unlike my husband’s, which can pick up coins from the floor, they are useless. My toes are so close and are so immobile, flip flops, and actually anything placed between them, hurts. So not only can I not do party tricks with my feet, I’ve never been able to wear flip flops (with very rare exception). My least favorite part of a pedicure has always been the application of polish. Rolled paper towels and those rubber toe separators are horrible for me. I can’t walk in them and can’t wait for my nails to dry to pull those wretched things off. Needless to say, while I thought the Pedi Princess flip flops are beyond cute, I was concerned that they’d be uncomfortable. Hurray! They aren’t! They did take a bit of getting used to but after just a few moments of wearing them, I was fine. And, this could be only me. I really don’t know of anyone else for whom toe separators are a real problem.
But, it’s not enough for me to like them. I wanted to know if they made any difference to my manicurist, Helen. Here’s what she said, “Yes they do. They make putting on polish a lot easier. The separator is not as thick as the rubber ones we use so I can move the toes around a lot more easily to get the best coverage from the polish.”
Pedi Princess flip flops are also good for the environment, as the company points out in their literature. They can be worn over and over again and so protect the environment from thousands of toe separators that end up in the trash each day and, inevitably, in landfills for, maybe, forever.
Pedi Princess flip flops come in a variety of colors and, in my opinion, would make a great gift for so many women and girls who love to pamper themselves with either a DIY pedi or one from a salon. In fact, one of my friends’ birthdays is coming up. I’m giving her a pair of Pedi Princess flip flops and a gift certificate to her favorite salon. She’ll love them – and I think you will too.
